Training with Milton Keynes Sub-Aqua Club

Milton Keynes Sub-Aqua Club offers training at many levels.  We have Instructors within the Branch who can teach diving from Ocean Diver up to Advanced Diver.  The Ocean Diver Course takes place in Stantonbury pool with the open water sessions in our own lake, the Blue Lagoon.  Lectures are given in our Club House in Newport Pagnell.  The course is usually rounded off with a day (or weekend) diving at the coast.  Training also takes us up the A5 to Stoney Cove.  Courses normally start twice a year in October and February.  For details of our next course email Enquiry@mksac.co.uk or ring 07020 93 9864.

Once you have qualified as a Ocean Diver you can come diving with the Branch.  The next progression in your training is Sports Diver which prepares you for some of the more advanced diving the Branch undertakes. Again, training takes place in the pool, Clubhouse and (of course) the Blue Lagoon.  Further courses can take you (if you wish and subject to your ability) to Dive Leader and Advanced Diver.

We also run many Skill Development Courses within the Branch.  During 2002 we have had a Nitrox course, a Dive Planning and Marshalling course and a Practical Rescue Management Course. Previous years have seen First Aid, VHF Marine Radio, Chartwork, Oxygen Administration, and Compressor Operation. Our most popular course recently has been the BSAC Combined Nitrox with over fifteen members (and a lot of visitors!) qualifying. Even if we do not have an appropriate instructor in the Branch, our contacts with other local clubs mean we can usually run the course you want.
