Blue Lagoon Visitors
MKSAC welcomes other clubs to dive at the Blue Lagoon. Ring us on 07020 96 0832
or e-mail us at diving@mksac.co.uk
(First printed in the MKSAC Newsletter March 2003)
Members are reminded that the Diving Officer must approve
ALL visitors to the Blue Lagoon
in advance. Although normally a formality, it is
important that OUR members are not placed at risk by a visitor of unknown
qualifications and experience. Visitors normally fall into one of three
categories: -
 |
A group of four or more visitors who provide their own Dive Marshall and
standby diver. Apart from checking that “The Bluey” does not get too
crowded, they should pose no risk to us or us to them.
|
 |
A group (normally three or less) who dive under our Dive Marshall and
standby diver. Subject to qualifications, the visitors will be expected to
take their turn on standby. The Diving Officer will want to know that the
visitors are current members of BSAC, that they have a current certificate
of fitness to dive and that the dive is within their capabilities (this is
no more than the DO expects of our own members).
|
 |
A guest of one of our members on an infrequent basis. As above, the
Diving Officer will want to know that all the paperwork is in order.
|
Members should also note that the visiting divers fee (currently £3) applies
in all the above cases.
