The driver mis-judged the steepness of the bank and ended up in the river at Buckingham.
MKSAC were asked to step in to assist the recovery operation. On site
things did not look too promising as just the tip of the arm could be seen
poking out of the water.

The arrival of a heavy crane looked more optimistic as three of our
members assess the situation.

Divers have attached chains below the waterline. The crane takes
it's first lift to turn the JCB the right way up.
|
Having re-positioned the chains (underwater!) the second lift takes
place with all points taking an equal load. The JCB is then placed on
the bank for attention.
